Nest summer "Rush Hour"

I participate in this program where, on hot days, they turn my thermostat up from 5 pm to 8 pm. Prior to that they "precool" the house by setting the temp pretty cold. But, a few times now (including today), they precooled to 67° and then never moved the temp up! So, my AC was blasting until I realized that it should be off (or set high enough that it probably wouldn't be on), and it was on 67°.  Has anyone else had this happen? It will definitely raise my electric bill since it was blasting for hours!
