I upgraded my Gen 1 thermostat to a Gen 4. I like to pre-cool my home to take advantage of the Time of use plan that the utility has and I turn it up all the way between 3-6p so the AC doesn't turn on at all.
I also use the Auto Eco feature when away to also save money.
Here is the issue. If the thermostat is pre-cooling the house and I leave at that time, it goes into Auto Eco and then the AC turns on between 3-6pm. Although its using the eco temperatures, it still runs several times during the "rush hour".
Im trying to find a way, to still use auto eco (when away) but keep the schedule for pre-cooling. In other words, to ignore that someone is leaving during that time.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I installed it about a month or so ago.
I have a heat pump split system
No, it's been on cooling for about two months
No error codes. The system cools properly.
Thank you.

Hi, I don't know what the wiring has to do with the away feature but I have Y1, G, OB and RH connected.
