Nest thermostat can't find any wifi networks

Hi I'm a tech savy Research Scientist and my thermostat stop detecting wifi networks. I have tried reseting the router, factory resetting the thermostat, software update, and nothing will fix the problem. I've seen online that the wifi chip can go bad and it seems like that is my problem.

I’m having the same exact problem. Started today. Wonder if this is a Google inherent design flaw to force you buy a new thermostat!  Let’s see if anyone responds

Your thermostat is defective. If you have a warranty then you’ll get a replacement. If not then they’ll say you need to buy a new one. Which is disappointing to say the least. Which is where I’m at. I just got off an hour call with support. I’m looking into other smart thermostats now.

Hello folks,

I'm sorry to hear that you're all having issues with your Nest Thermostats not detecting any Wi-Fi networks. Let's see what's going on.

To isolate:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • Are you getting any message codes on its network settings?
  • Please check the battery level under the Technical Info settings.

I'll look forward to your response.

Thanks,

Mark
