Nest thermostat randomly turning heat on, but does not show as on in app.

I have had this problem for years and have asked for help before without success. I have heating off at present so describe hot water issue for now, but as soon as I turn heating on this is affected as well. In the middle of the night when the tank has had time to cool down the boiler would suddenly fire up and start heating the water. The nest app does not show the water as being on so I can not use that to switch it off. The only way is to get up and turn the tank thermostat down. It does not happen all the time and can go for days or weeks working perfectly. I have tried all the normal remedies' but nothing seems to work. should I buy a new Mk 3 system or am I likely to be throwing money away? I have seen people complain about this for years but it is still not acknowledged by Nest so I have never been offered a replacement. What could possibly cause the heating to be on when the software says it is not? I welcome any helpfull comments.

Same issue - system goes on while Nest says it isn't.  Engineer says it is a faulty Heatlink - turning system on without a demand.  My smart meter shows energy use - Nest shows none.

My Nest Learning still randomly turns on my heat/water, outside of schedule set, without any demand from timer/temperature.  Nest doesn't show that it's ON, so I can't turn it off except by turning off the Nest at the main supply.  My Nest show NO USE, my energy provider shows the lie.
