Nest thermostat

I have done a reset on my G4. When I go to the home app to setup, it will not find the device. The device displays “go to google home to setup”

what am I missing?

To help me best troubleshoot this with you, could you please provide some additional details?

  • What is the make and model of the device you are using to set up your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen)?
  • Are you currently using the latest version of the Google Home app? If not, this Google Nest Help Center article provides helpful instructions: Update the Google Home app.
  • When you try to "add" new devices within the Google Home app, does your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th Gen) appear in the list of available devices?
  • Is your mobile device's operating system up to date?
