Having same issue- Lost old Gen thermostat support via nest, upgraded to Gen 4. Rewired- has power, wont scan code to connect as well as enter 6 digit id- nothing. Gen 4 has power, but cant access unless connects- so no way to go to settings and do factory reset. Worse is have a nest and google acct andhave a doorbell and video working. Seems to info after they keeled old Gen on how to migrate to Gen4

I understand that you have been experiencing trouble trying to set up your new Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) because it doesn't scan the QR code or work using the entry key, even though the device is receiving power. No worries; I’m here to help.

To effectively troubleshoot, could you please answer this question?

  • Do you see any error messages during the pairing process on Google Home?
