I have two Nest Thermostat-1.4
I am enrolled in the Rush Hour/BYOT program where Google increases your Nest thermostats by upto 4 degrees with a upper limit of 84 degrees.
I have tried numerous times to ask Google why the upper limit is not enforced.
As you can see from the attached jpg, my Nest was set at 89 and Google jacked it up by 4 degrees to 93 degrees, completely ignoring the 84 degrees upper limit, creating unsafe conditions in the house.
Anyone experiencing this problem? Extremely poor support from Google. They use stalling tactics and you give up after waiting for over an hour on the phone being put on hold.

Hi @ajaymjoshi
I wonder if the 89f degree setting was already above your 84f limit and that caused it to go to 94f.
I also use SRP's rush hour but don't have my Nest thermostat set that high so never when over the limit.
That all being said, I can escalate your post over to one of our Google Nest Community Specialists. They may have an answer for you.
Thanks for the post-!

Thanks, Jill. I would appreciate some guidance from the Nest Specialists.
To date, I have only been stonewalled by Google support, when I have called them.

Hi ajaymjoshi,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I’m sorry to hear that your Nest Thermostat (2020) in Phoenix, AZ, is not respecting the upper temperature limit of 84 degrees Fahrenheit during an SRP "Rush Hour" event and is increasing the temperature beyond it (reaching 93 degrees in your example), creating uncomfortable conditions. No worries, help is here.
Thank you JillG for your help.
Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:
Besides this information, I will also appreciate you sharing a picture of your current wiring installation.
Please keep me posted.
Best regards,
Virna
