Set by your adjustments means what continued

I am restarting this thread as I could not respond in time and the earlier thread got closed out.

Understand that I can reinstall the app without being physically present to rectify this random very high temperature settings for the heater that seems to be set with the message "set by your adjustments"

Will the key/code be the same as the previous one if I wanted to add the device after deleting and reinstalling the Nest app? Or does it change. As I cannot be physically close to the thermostat, the same key might be helpful to try a fix for these arbitrary changes

"However, for the issue mentioned above, could you please let me know if you have the Auto Schedule turned on?" - Yes. Then changed it off

Hello curioustoknow,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.

The Nest Thermostats entry code is the same even after resetting, as you can also find it in the back of their display. However, entering the code without the thermostat won't allow you to continue the prompt, as it needs to be connected to the WiFi network.

I'd suggest having someone setup for you so you have access once it's finished. Here's an article on how to add the Nest Thermostat to the app. Let us know if you have more questions.

Regards,
Mark

Hey there,

I don't want to be a nudge, but I'd like to check if you were able to get your device setup or if you may have additional questions. Feel free to reach out again if you still need help.

Best,

Mark
