Nest termostat installed in corridor where heat from kitchen affects the ambient temperature. Therefore top floor it's colder as not enough time to heat up the rooms.
I want to relocate thermostat to top floor using stand setup. Any guide how to do it safely?? Thanks.

Hi there and thanks for reaching our Community. I'm really sorry to hear about your issue, but I'll do my best to help you out. By stand setup you mean to have the thermostat display moved to a stand, right?

Yes . I want to put it on a stand and take it to different location.

Got it. In this case, what you'll need to do is to have the base removed from the wall, so that it may be fixed on the stand afterwards and the wires will either need to be removed or insulated and covered. Even though we're talking about a low voltage, I'd always recommend to have an installer to deal with the wires properly and safe. Once that's done, the base can be easily fit in the stand via the screws that come with the stand.
