Thermostat says it’s heating but it is not

Hi need help thermostat shows heating but when blowing out air it’s cool.  I restarted the thermostat again wasn’t sure if I should but did and still same and just showing it would take 2 hrs to reach temp. Can anyone help me on what can I do?

To get a better understanding of the situation, please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • When did the issue first occur?
  • When was the thermostat installed?
  • What type of HVAC system do you have?
  • Are all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires)?
  • Is there a wiring report or error message on your thermostat and/or app?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
