Thermostat sensitivity question

DAR

Is there any way to increase or adjust the sensitivity of my thermostat so it starts cooling faster?  It usually won't start cooling until there is a 4 or 5 degree difference between the inside temperature and the set temperature.

Hello DAR,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum.

We hear you—I understand that it's for your convenience. However, the Nest Thermostats always depend on the current temperature before they activate the system for at least 2–3 degrees of difference. This is to give time for the system to cool down or avoid sudden system activation.

We're always looking for ways to improve, and we would appreciate it if you could share your feedback with us. Also, let us know if you have more questions, as this thread will be locked for 24 hours.

Regards,
Mark

I understand that but 4 or 5 degrees is too much of a wait in my opinion.  There should be a way to increase the sensitivity.
