Upgraded from Gen 2 thermostat to 4 - Furnace fan will not run continuously like Gen 2

Upgrade since the gen 2 will not have app support soon. Upgraded fine with wire setup exactly as before.  I cannot get the fan to run continuously (24/7). I’ve tried various options including flipping to furnace control of fan, thermostat control of fan, using the fan option on menu to trigger the fan as well as trying the scheduler to 1am to 12 am as well as the default 12am to 12am. None trigger the fan to come on (yes I’m in cool mode and not off).  I followed a bunch of suggestions from this locked feed to no avail. I was in with a Google tech but got disconnected and he couldn’t come up with a solution either (that ticket is in a screen shot below along with other info). Help!  If not, I’ll go back to the Gen 2 and hope when the Nest app gets disabled I can still run the fan continuously.

Hi @Portal4Poe

Thank you very much for contacting this community! I understand what you've been experiencing with your Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen). When you want to run the fan 24/7, you can't, even though you've already called Google's technical support, and the agent gave you several troubleshooting steps, such as setting a schedule from 12 a.m. to 12 a.m., along with all the recommendations in this thread, which I appreciate. No worries, I'm here to help!

I understand how frustrating it is not to have the functions you need right now. For this reason, the team would like to learn more about this behavior. When you get a chance, please fill out this form and let us know when you’re finished. We’ll have someone reach out to you via email from there.

Best regards,
Eduardo
