blower starts and stops every couple seconds

just installed a nest 3gen. Prior to installing the Nest thermostat, my honeywell thermostat was working fine.  I connected the wires as they were connected to the honeywell.  Only difference is I connected the blue wire (C common) to the new nest thermostat.  The blower starts up for a couple seconds and shuts down and does this over and over again until I pull the nest head off the wall.  My honeywell thermostat did NOT use the blue wire.  I've followed all the trouble shooting tips and keep getting the following Error code T4.

Can anyone help with this issue.  I would greatly appreciate it as my house is cold.

Hello goldie1,

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with your Nest Thermostat installation, and it's certainly frustrating to have a cold house.

The fact that your blower starts up for a few seconds and then shuts down repeatedly might indicate an issue with the wiring or compatibility. Since the Honeywell thermostat didn't use the blue wire (C common), it's important to ensure that the Nest is compatible with your HVAC system.

  1. Reconfirm that all the wires are correctly connected to the Nest Thermostat. Make sure each wire is securely inserted into the corresponding terminal on the Nest base.
  2. Try power cycling your HVAC system by turning off the power at the breaker for a few minutes and then turning it back on. This can sometimes reset the system.
  3. Can you share with us a photo of your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup? Also, what type of HVAC system do you have?

Keep us posted.

Best regards,
Mark
