thermostat will not stay on line.

it will not stay on line, tells me it is restarting back in a bit. A/C will run for a minute and turn off.

Hi chardesa,

 

Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to know more about it. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? In what states are you located? Do you see any messages or codes on your thermostat or in the app? How far is your thermostat from the router? Are there devices or appliances such as: baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, near your thermostat? Those devices could interfere with the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal. 

 

If your Wi-Fi router is a dual-band (supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signals), your Nest Thermostat may connect to one band better than it connects to the other band, depending on your surroundings. Do you know which channel it was connected to?

Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

 

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Technical Info.
  4. Select Power.

 

Nest Thermostat 2020:

  1. Open the Google Home app and then tap the thermostat and then tap Settings .
  2. Select the Device Information.
  3. Choose Technical Information.
