ATT BGW320-500 and Google Nest wifi pro 6E

Just had my hone internet upgraded to ATT Fiber and am seeing horrible results with my Google mesh network. Even wired connections to the mesh are returning only 300mbps.

I have set the modem to IP Passthrough as recommended and am getting better but not great result. Are thee other settings to mess with or is just how it goes? running a test on the modem results in 1350mbps, I would think my home network would be better than 300.

Hello cadrien,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for this experience.

Verify that you're using an undamaged Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable and make sure it's securely plugged in to both your modem and Google Nest Wifi Pro. Try changing your DNS settings before performing a 2-minute power cycle. Here's how:

  1. Disconnect the power from the modem.
  2. Disconnect the Ethernet cable and power cord from the parent point.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the child points.
  4. Leave everything unplugged for 2 minutes.
  5. Connect the power from the modem then your router and points.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,
Lovely
