Access modem interface on different subnet

Abqfnp
Community Member

Just upgraded from google wifi to nest wifi pro, Have a custom tmobile modem that does IPPT, ip passthrough, to the main router. Could always log into the modem interface on a different subjet, 192.168.22X.X, while my local lan DHCP pool from the google router was 192.168.86.0/34. Now since the upgrade, I cannot access that  192.168.22X.X... I can ping it, I can ssh into it, but hangs on website access. Have tried on multiple devices from within the network. I can still access due to tailscale, but seems like something nest wifi pro is blocking it. very little settings or log access to see whats exactly going on..  Any information or troubleshooting would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Abqfnp,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand you're experiencing trouble accessing a specific IP address that was previously accessible with your Nest Wifi, but it is now inaccessible since you migrated to the Nest Wifi Pro. Let's work together to find a solution.

To better assist you, please provide the following information:

  • Are you trying to access the IP address while connected to the Nest Wifi Pro over wifi or through a wired connection?

  • What type of device did you use to access the website?

  • Is there an error message or any indication while you're trying to access the website?

In the meantime, please submit a device report and feedback through the Google Home app. Here are the steps:

Step 1. Enable Device Reporting

  1. Ensure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your Nest Wifi Pro.

  2. Open the Google Home app.

  3. Tap and hold your Nest Wifi Pro device tile.

  4. Tap Settings, then Recognition and Sharing.

  5. Enable "Send Nest Wifi Pro device usage and crash reports to Google."

Step 2. Share your Feedback

  1. Open the Google Home app.

  2. At the top right, tap your account.

  3. Tap Feedback and then tap the device you'd like to submit feedback for.

  4. To display available emails, in the "From:" section, tap the arrow on the right. Select your email address.

  5. In the feedback summary, write a brief description of your situation.

  6. Be sure to check the box for Screenshot and System logs.

  7. To submit feedback, at the top right corner, tap Send.

Additionally, the team would like to learn more about this behavior. When you get a chance, please fill out this form and let us know when you’re finished.

Please let me know the outcome.

Regards,

Byron
