Can't connect to Disney+ with Google WIfi

I suddenly can't connect to Disney+ on my google wifi mesh.  I am getting the following message:

Disney+ is only available in certain regions. Depending on where you are located, you may not be able to access Disney+. If you think you are seeing this message in error, visit the Disney+ Help Center (Error Code 73).

I am getting this on all devices, iphone, ipad, PC, Android TV and set top box from my tv provider.

If I connect directly to my modem, I can connect with no issues. The same with turning off the wifi on my phone and using 5G. I am not using a VPN.

It has been working fine for years. It worked fine last Thursday, then when we tried to watch on Saturday this started.

Any suggestions?

Hi Spiderprints,

We’re sorry to hear about your concern with Disney+, and we apologize for the delay. Just so we’re on the same page, let me ask some questions first — are all your devices not connected to Wi-Fi? Which Google/Nest router are we working with?

Try these steps:

  • Check your internet download speed from the device you’re using (if it’s slower than 5 Mbps, that could be your issue).
  • Disconnect your mobile or Wi-Fi internet connection from the device you’re using, wait for 30 to 60 seconds, and then reconnect. Sometimes all you need is to refresh your connection.
  • Reset your Wi-Fi modem.
  • Check for any updates that may be available for the app.
  • Clear your cache and data.
  • Close and reopen the app, also try signing out of Disney+ on all devices and sign in again.
  • Delete the Disney+ app, re-download it from your device’s app store, and log in again.
  • Try Disney+ on a separate compatible device or web browser.

Also, since we can rule out VPN's and the error message specifically states issues with Disney+, it would help a lot if you could reach out to them for more information and troubleshooting steps.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan
