I have been troubleshooting my Google WiFi network for quite some time. Frustration after frustration, I have tried the following with the results I'm sharing.
I assigned reserved IPs that fixed network printer issues, I guess devices where taking the printers up when the printer was sleeping.
There was a lot of DNS failures, costum setting up the DNS at the Google router and setting static IPS down to the DNS settings at the devices fixed the smart TV's connectivity issues, and in devices that that get good enough signal directly from the router.
Now all the Google devices, smart displays, etc, etc that can't connect directly to the router loose connections when the access points, loose the connection, and I think those are the only items that I can't reserve and IP, plus I can't set static IPS on any of the Google devices. When Google is got to fix this? Are you guys planning to buy back all the Google products, if this keep going on, we are just going to stop buying Google products. I have sent a lot of feedbacks no response. Thanks

Maybe if we could set up how the points connect to each other and which ones needs to connect directly to the router. For example I want all the points to connect directly to the router, or I want the access point a to connect to access point B, and access point B and c to connect directly to the router. And fix whatever issues are going on with the selection of the DNS or solving DNS issues I had that issue with Google tablets and pixel phones, but I only have that issue when I'm connected to my Google WiFi network at home.

Hi arod876,
That certainly isn’t the experience we want you to have, and we apologize for the delay. A few questions: are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? Which Google/Nest router are we working with? What device are you using to set up your network (iOS or Android)? Do you have the Internet from your modem?
You can do a sequential reboot of your entire network and see if that helps, or please perform a 2-minute power cycle on your entire network to re-establish the connection on your connected devices. Here's how:
Also, you can give these steps a try:
You may skip any step that you’ve done already.
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Dan

I have done all of the steps except turning the ipv6
model for router H2D
The points are H2E
it seems that the points lose connection with the router dragging everything connected to them. All the connected devices report strong wifi signal, the points are the only ones losing connection, or reporting weak signals.

After disabling the IPv6, it improved the connectivity issues, but it's still doing it, the points loose connections and they dragged whatever is connected to them. The most affected equipment is the Google nest equipment, cameras, displays. Everything that I can give an static IP works without problem when connected to the router.
Thanks
Alex

Hey Mm_,
We're sorry you had to go through all this, but have you had the chance to try the steps above? If so, how was it? What Google/Nest device are you using? What's the topology of your devices?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Dan

I ended up disconnecting all the acces points and leaving just the router, and I still have connectivity issues, but I only have to reset the router every other day, instead of every day or twice a day.

Did you finally get this resolved? I am having the same issue.
01-08-2024 11:14 AM
Nope, I still have to reset the router every day or when I want to watch something. I started unplugging the access points since, I think they are the problem, and I want them to extend the WiFi outside and improve the signal in the restrooms, it looks like they loose connections and dragged everything connected. Disabling the IPv6 on the router helped a little bit with the Google nest devices displays, speakers and doorbell.
