I have just upgraded to a 2GB connection with Frontier, and with that, also upgraded to the Nest Wifi Pro (2 endpoints) to capitalize on the faster internet connection. I am only getting 800mb (down) from the endpoint that is connected to the router, and seeing WIFI connection around the house significantly lower (20-40mb on laptops). I have had a 500MB connection prior with the old Google Mesh and had a 490MB (down/up) with the Google mesh. Why am I seeing such a drastic depreciation in internet speed on the Nest Wifi Pro? Am I not able to get a 2GB (or close to it) connection on the mesh?
Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hey josa,
Thanks for posting and apologies for the late reply — let's see what's going on.
A few questions: are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? How many devices are having slow speed issues from the network? Also, do you have any paused devices?
Please confirm if you’ve done all the steps below:
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Abi

Hi Abigail, thank you for your help and the recommendations. To answer your questions: yes using modem/router combo from Frontier; all devices i have noticed experience a slower connection, and no i am not having any paused devices on the network.
I have implemented the above with the exception of putting my current mode/router combo in bridge mode. I am using the Sagemcom Fast 5290 modem/router combo from Frontier, and so far I have not received anything back from Frontier to indicate that this router/modem can be put into a bridge mode. I did disable the 2.4G and 5G wifi as suggested. On my second call with Frontier (on a premium tech line) they advised to bypass the Frontier router altogether and plug the ethernet cable in directly to the Google Nest Wifi Pro endpoint, although i don't think this will work as the Google Nest Wifi endpoint is not a modem, is that correct?
At any rate, i am still showing the same 8xx/8xx up down on the Google mesh, although the wifi speeds on the laptops have improved to 100/80.
Any additional thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks much in advance!
Cheers,
josiah
