This has been reported in multiple threads from many, many users on all generations of Google mesh routers back to at least 2022. I’m just posting that this is still happening for people and has yet to be addressed. There is a software bug still present causing this to happen. It’s been confirmed by various network engineers using the hardware. Still happening whether wired or via WiFi. I typically have download latency of about 20ms. Every few days to a week or so it’ll increase to 900 - 1500+ms and stay in that range. Only rebooting the network will get it back down to normal levels, but weekly necessary network restarts shouldn’t be the norm. It happened with my previous generation Google mesh routers as well. Does not happen when I test my Xfinity router (while the issue is occurring with Google mesh hardware), thus bypassing the mesh network completely.
PLEASE escalate this issue to the engineering team or management or whomever can get this the attention it deserves so it can be resolved once and for all.
At this rate it seems like Google just doesn’t care about their customers that pay a premium for a quality product from a company they trust but instead receive an astounding lack of reasonable and timely support when those products consistently underperform and outright fail in terms of minimally acceptable industry standards of performance and reliability.
