Google Nest needs to be rebooted daily to get above 10MB per second

Over the past 6 months my Nest WiFi mesh system has been having issues with internet speed. I currently get 300MB/sec from my cable modem to my main unit in the house but one of my Mesh units no further than 50 feet away seems to drop its speed to 10MB/sec daily.  When I unplug the unit, my speed jumps to 150MB/sec or more for about 4-6 hours before it starts to drop again. Its very frustrating.

I have factory reset the mesh unit and kept moving it closer to the main unit for months now but at this point, only 50 feet away I feel the device itself may have a problem.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can get support?

Hi jimmymadd,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with the speed of your Google Wifi. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • Have you tried doing a mesh test? What's the result?
  • Are there any devices that could affect interference?

If you haven't yet, please try the steps on this link to isolate the issue further.

Thanks,

Edward
