Can I use google wifi point as an extender to a primary spectrum router or does the primary router need to be google as well?
I have a spectrum router and bought a Google wifi point to extend the reach of my internet. I can’t see a way to connect the Google wifi point to the spectrum wifi?
thanks

Nest Wifi wireless mesh only works with other Nest Wifi units. The main unit must always be connected to the internet by an ethernet cable.

Hi Abi! I am also attempting to add a single google puck to extend my wifi reach but haven’t been able to figure it out. I have spectrum router and modem and would like to add this single google puck to provide better coverage in my home. So am I able to add this to my existing spectrum network, or must the puck be “hard wired” to the router, which will set up a SECOND wifi network? If you could, please email me directly at # and thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Jnspeer,
If you only have one Google Wifi router, it will act as a main router and not as an extender for your Spectrum modem as your Google Wifi device will only work as a mesh if used with other Google Wifi points. You can check this article for the steps to set up your Google Wifi network.
Best,
Abi
