IPv6 not working on Nest Wifi Pro

Nest Wifi Pro has IPv6 turned on in "Home - Wi-Fi - Network Settings - Advanced" however unfortunately despite restarting this multiple times, turning many devices off and on plus disconnecting and connecting ethernet cables it does not seem to be providing this to any devices over Wi-Fi.

The Nest Wifi Pro previously ran in DHCP connected to the ISP's router and is now running in PPPoE connected directly to the ONT neither of these have provided IPv6 despite the ISP's router providing this without issue. Provider is BT using the Openreach network but not sure that matters as it works fine with their supplied hardware so very much seems to be a Nest Wifi Pro issue, DNS is also Google (8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4).

Any help to get IPv6 working is massively appreciated.

Hi @tornadokido,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble with IPv6 on your Nest Wifi Pro device. I'd be happy to assist you.

Please provide the following information to determine why this is happening:

  1. What error does the Google Home app state?
  2. Have you ever been able to obtain an IPv6 address?
  3. Does the device that's attempting to connect with IPv6 support IPv6?
  4. Is there a router upstream from the router?
  5. Are you trying to use IPv6 on the guest network?
Please keep me posted.

Regards,
Anders

Hey, I can confirm that. I’m currently using a TC4400 modem, which supports IPv4 and IPv6 Dual Stack. Right now it’s not working, but back in the day, it worked exactly with this setup.
