Nest Wifi Pro dropping network every 30-34min

Posting here to try and filter up some of the other posts. I've gone through the other posts and called support yesterday who also read the same script/fix I found here.

To date, I've done the following for my 4 G6ZUC on version 1.63.327820:

  • Restarted the network 3 times yesterday
  • Factory restart - This worked for about 2 hours and then we were right back to it disconnecting from the modem every 30-45min.
  • Changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
  • Replaced the factory included either net cord with a higher grade version

What else is there to try? Are others having issues still (I wasn't finding many recent posts)?

Thanks in advance for any assistance as we work from home full-time and need a stable wifi network.

I am having the same problem,  every 45 mins it drops off completely, had fiber optic company put a new modem in not a combo unit, I have reset it 2 times now to factory settings.  I can put the Ethernet cable strait into lap top when it’s down and internet is fine, just plugging it back into the google Wi-Fi the wifi comes back for another 45 mins

this all started last week for me. Please help followed everything but the password with no special characters I’ll try that next.

Hey folks,

@jacbaker, thanks for posting. Please try the steps below:

  • If you're using a modem/router combo, set that to bridge mode to avoid double NAT issues.
  • Make sure that there is minimal to no interference (concrete, bulletproof glass, metal, mirror, etc.) and the points are no more than two rooms apart.
  • Remove any special characters in your network name and password.
  • Turn off IPv6.

@Bryanhh, were you able to change your network name and password? How did it go?

Best,
Abi
