Hello - begging for help, I can't seem to get in touch with anyone. I have 4 nest wifi points, connected to my wifi mesh router. This is all connected to Verizon Fios wifi as my main router.
depending on the time of the day, the wifi connection completely drops, then reconnects. I believe I once had this fixed, but then at some point got a new Verizon router and the issue came back. I dont recall what the fix was previously, but do recall support looking into or changing firewall settings? I have a strong signal throughout the house. Seems like the networks might be competing with each other causing it to drop. What can I do? Who can help?
thanks so much.

Hey Db-ny1982,
Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.
Are you using a modem/router combo provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? Also make sure that there are no special characters on your guest network's name and password.
Try giving these steps a try:
Unplug the power from your Google Wifi devices for 2 minutes.
Change your guest network's name and password
If the issue persists, factory reset your network and use a different network name and password.
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Abi

If the networks are competing with each other, would this help? I've read and recall putting the main Verizon modem/router into bridge mode??

Hi folks,
@Tannman, appreciate your helpful response.
@Db-ny1982, chiming in to ensure everything is good here. Have you had the chance to try the suggestions above? Also, you may seek help with your Internet service provider if you're using a modem/router combo. Tell them that you need to set your modem to bridge mode to avoid double NAT issues. Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Abi

I had the same problem until I replaced the original Google "ribbon" cable (that came with my Nest routers) between my primary Nest Router and my modem with a regular insulated cable. Now, no problem.

Interesting. Thanks for the note. I'll try this, but I think it has to do with interference and both networks competing.
