I have 1Gbit fiber service through CenturyLink.  When using their modem and the Google WiFi as a router I was getting 850d/850u, which is expected.  Because of some double NAT issues, I needed to bypass the ISP modem and use my PPPoE login in the Google Wifi.  Now I can only get 400d/50u on wired connection.  Not sure what's causing the slowdown.

Hello, Matt Rennert.

Sorry for the late reply here, but I still wanted to check in. Were you able to figure this out? I'm hoping I can offer a bit of insight here. Switching to PPPoE through your ISP is a good and reliable connection, but it's a slower connection than DHCP overall. It's possible that by making the switch to PPPoE that you're experiencing a slower connection from what you had previously.

To verify, I would suggest reaching out to your ISP to see if they can offer any additional insight on the matter. If there's any more I can do for you, please let me know.

Thanks.
