Wi-Fi & Nests

Kdossett

I'm about ready to get rid of all Google devices and go to something different. Losing connectivity to my Wi-Fi for all of my nests in the house is getting to be absolutely ridiculous. I unplug everything and plug them back in and they still not connect. I always have to unplug my router and then go to each device and reset them and set it up in my Google Home app again. It is definitely not worth the hassle and if Google does not get this fixed soon, as I see many many others are having this issue, they will lose a lot of customers!

Hi @Kdossett

Sorry to hear you are having so much WiFi issues.

Are you using a Google WiFi device? I know some WiFi routers are having issues if there are to many devices connected. 🙄

I've done everything short of unplugging them and boxing them up into storage. They seem to disconnect every 7 to 10 days and I have to delete the entire house and start all over again because nothing works. I have unplugged them and let them sit for a while and plug them back in, I have unplugged my router for 30 minutes and plugged it back in I have updated all apps, and so many other things and it just keeps happening.

Question to you and anyone with similar issues - did you try setting the dns settings back to automatic or to 8.8.8.8?

lots of users report flaky connections when dns server is forced to isp or something else not very reliable
