Wifi Speaker overheating

My sons nest wifi overheated and nearly caused a fire. A blanket dangling from his bed touched the top of it and melted to the device. It was too hot to handle. I don't feel comfortable using it any longer. Only a small portion of the top of the speaker was touching the blanket and nothing was touching the bottom.
