"Your Network is Offline" -- Nest Gen 2 Mesh Network

Google Home has been fine for my Nest WiFi Gen 2 network for months, but since 11/20/2022 it's told me my network is offline, which it isn't. Now I can't admin my network at all. I've tried restarting the Google router, force closing the Home app and reinstalling the Home app. Any ideas on what's going on here?

I'm having the exact same issue.

Glad to know it not just me. Did your issue just start recently? I'm guessing some update broke functionality. Hope Google recognizes the problem and fixes it soon or I'll have to replace my whole mesh network which would not make me happy.

Yes, started in the past few weeks. I saw a suggestion to toggle the cloud wifi services off and back on. It's under privacy settings. Then restart modem and router. I haven't tried yet - just read about it a few minutes ago.

I just tried it, but I can't even toggle the cloud service off. It just spins and times out

Same here. Spins and times out. The older style google wifi pods aren't having this issue. I setup the older ones for my mom and also have those on the my Home app and there's no problem. Ugh.

So only the Gen 2 system? Come on Google, fix this.

This is the "solution" posted on Google support page. But it didn't work for me. Got the same spinning and timeout.

Disable IPv6 in the Google Home app:
  1. Open the Google Home app
  2. Tap the Wifi coin
    Settings
  3. Scroll down and tap Advanced networking.
  4. Scroll down to IPv6.
  5. Toggle the switch off

I found a work-around for now. No offline error for 2 whole days! I'm not sure which part actually band-aided the issue. I plugged in an old router between the modem and nest router. I also deleted my "home" and started from scratch. Had to hard reset the router to get it to work. I also hard reset each pod right before I connected them. The app wasn't finding the pods without the hard reset. Once the network was up, I removed the other router and plugged the nest router into the modem. Does this all make sense?
