Bought pack of 3 wifi extenders.  Main hard wired to modem/router.  Other placed upstair.  Both pass mesh test.  The other placed 20 feet away with no walls etc... Won't connect.  I believe is defective.   How to I get this resolved if is defective?

Hey folks,

Thanks for posting.

A quick question: did you get a message when it failed to add as an access point?

Best,

Mel

Hello runnerdave61,

Our apologies for the late reply. Where did you purchase your devices exactly? Was it through our online or physical Google Store? We'll wait for your update.

Thanks,

Hi Abigail, I have an extender that just stop connecting. All it does is flash blue. I tried reset and connected by wire and neither worked.

Thank you

Hello jkelly5,

I'm sorry to hear you're also having this issue. To confirm, is it a Google Wifi point, Google Nest Wifi router used as a point or a Google Nest Wifi point? We'll wait for your reply.

Abi

Hi jkelly5,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re unable to set up your Google Wifi point. Please follow the steps below:

Factory reset your Wifi device

  1. Unplug your point from the power source.
  2. Press, then hold the factory reset button on the device. While holding down the button, plug the power cable back in. Continue pressing the button for about 10 seconds. Your point will flash white, then blue. When it flashes blue, you can release the button.
  3. The point will continue flashing blue for about 45 seconds, then turn solid blue. This process can take up to 10 minutes.
  4. Wait up to 10 minutes for the device to fully reset.
  5. Once complete, your point will slowly pulse blue to indicate it's ready for setup.
  6. After the device has been reset, the device will still appear in the Google Home or Google Wifi app. To remove the device and your previous network, follow the instructions for app factory reset.
  7. If you have reset your primary point (router), you'll need to set up a new network and add any points again using the Google Home app.

Note: If you hold the button for more than 15 seconds, the device will start flashing orange and won't factory reset. In this case, unplug and try again.

Let me know if you’re able to go through all the steps. Feel free to reply if you need help with a specific step, I’ll be here to guide you through it.

Best,
Abi

Purchased more than 2 weeks ago and have not been able to get to a store.  Was in California.  According to website they will not accept a return/exchange.  Not sure what to do?

Thank you
