Irobot account cant be unlinked or removed

1.5 years ago I had a irobot account linked to my google home account. Since then I no longer have the device or the account. When you go into settings there is no option to remove device there is only unlink irobot account. When we hit the unlink hyperlink it takes us to the apps section of google home.  Which when I search for irobot and click on the irobot link it asks me to sign into the account (which I no longer have). So there is no way to actually unlink the account. I have chatted with support and all they suggest is delete the home. Do it and create a new home, device reappears. They said to create a new account with new email, do it connect devices and everything seems fine but in order to get to my paid for content like movies and videos we have to connect our old account to the Google streamers and as soon as we do that, then the irobot device reappears into our new home and new email address. Even if we delete the old account after connecting it the irobot device becomes attached to the new account and we have a to start all over again. I have asked google if they would transfer the content and they said no. I have opened up 4 seperate tickets about this over a 1.5 years now and no resolutions other than what's above and google has not come up with a fix as of today other than what is above. This is really aggravating that they know of the issue but can't fix it. Any suggestions to be able to watch my content o. Our google strea, erst sl we don't end up with the old irobot account connecting and showing multiple devices in the Google home?

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue of your old iRobot account reappearing in Google Home, despite efforts to unlink it. To address this, try clearing the cache and data for the Google Home app on your device, which can help remove any cached settings or devices. Additionally, visit your Google account’s Connected Apps section to ensure the iRobot account is completely removed from any third-party services linked to Google. You can do this by navigating to Google Account > Security > Manage Third-party Apps and unlinking any iRobot-related services.

Another potential solution is to perform a factory reset on your Google Home devices, which may help remove lingering connections to the old iRobot account. During the reset and setup process, make sure the device is not automatically linked to the old iRobot account. You can also check the Google Assistant app for any linked accounts and remove iRobot from there. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it’s worth escalating the problem to Google support again or contacting iRobot to see if they can assist in removing the device entirely from your Google account.

Hi @Kawill81971!

Thanks for posting in the community.
I’m sorry for the inconveniences that you’ve been experiencing with your Google Account and the iRobot account. I understand that you are not able to unlink your accounts, and it is appearing even after using a different account with your Google streaming devices. Let me help you with this. To further assist you, I need some extra information. I would appreciate it if you were able to share with me the case number of the tickets that you have created with our support team.

I’ll be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Daniel.

Google.has not given me an actual ticket they just keep telling me there is nothing they can do and tell me to create a new home even though I have told them my movies and books are under that username and when I create a new home the device just populated into the new home and google support has been of no help.

Sad I have to sepnd 1000 of dollars to get away from google because rhey can't or refuse to fix a problem..
