1st gen Google Home doesn't play YouTube Music

I have two 2nd Gen Google Home speakers, two 1st Gen Home speakers, and a Google Home Max. All but the Max refuse to play music from my YouTube Music account.  It will respond to other inputs, like questions , but doesn't play music. For example, I'll ask it to play some Christmas music. The nest device will say, "Check out this playlist on YouTube Music" and then nothing will happen. Why? All speakers defaults to themselves so there's no redirect.  My Home Max will play as requested, so is it a YouTube device authentication problem?

I have same problem.  My speakers are "linked" and the only way I can resolve the issue is to reboot each speaker by unplugging them.  Once I do that, they work fine for a few days then the problem occurs again.  I tried "rebooting" the speaker pair in Google Home, but that did not resolve the issue.   Very aggravating!

My 2nd gen just asked me to retrain the voice match.  Didn't work either.
