3 Nest speakers in a group, volume up/down on one does not work for the whole group

Hi,

About a month ago I had two of Nest speakers configured together and changing volume on one of them will change the volume on both (voice commands and manually on one of the speakers)

Recently I added third speaker and created a group.

If I change the volume on one of speakers (manually on the speaker) only this speaker goes louder.

Using voice commands like "volume up 10%" only works on one speaker at the time.

This is extremely annoying (yes, I can change the volume of all 3 from the phone app but this is not the point for having voice commands)

Any ideas to try?

All 3 speakers have the same firmware. Phone is Android OS.

Thank you,

Mike

Hi Mike,

There were changes with the volume control on the speaker group. We can no longer control the volume of all the speakers at the same time. This includes from the Google Home app, on display devices, and using Assistant voice commands (ex. “Change [group name] volume to 50%”). You will need to control the volume for each speaker in the group individually. We don't have information on whether this feature is coming back, and unfortunately, we don't have anything additional to share at this time, but you can always send feedback, as the team listens to the feedback we send to help us improve our product.

Let me know if I can help you with anything else on Google Home.

Regards,
Alex
