Adding childs account to existing nest mini speakers

So I am trying to allow my children to receive personalised results on their next mini speakers, and use their own spotify accounts on them and avoid arguments about songs. They each have their own account managed by the family link app, they have their voices now linked to their accounts, but can I get to a point where I can link their accounts to their speakers? No. There seems to be a point where the app just does not want to connect with them. I am on the same wifi, and my oldest child has his own speaker and can use it fine, but again I cannot see the other speakers in our house listed under his name. If anyone can help on this that would be great.

Thanks, I have followed these instructions but when I click on add to new devices, nothing happens. Also, when I try to add them via the home app, it takes me to the family link app but then says no WiFi connection when it is fully connected.

@BobbyB81, thanks for posting. I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should, so let’s get this resolved. What is the make and model of the mobile phone that you are using? Try to force close and reopen the app. If that did not work try to reboot your phone to refresh the device then try it again.

Hi Juni,

 

It is a Samsung s22 ultra I am using. After speaking with someone at Google I am making additional accounts for my children to allow them to be added to the Google home rather than through the family link app, hopefully this works.
