All of my nest hubs (2nd gen) do not respond or run activities after recognizing my voice

All 3 of my nest hubs (2nd gen) and 1 nest hub max are being stupid.

For example:

Me: “Hey Google, what time is it”

Hub: recognizes my voice (my avatar is displayed in the upper right corner) and displays “what time is it” on the top of the screen as the colored dots spin around next to it. Several seconds later, it says nothing and the dots, text and my avatar fade away.

This essentially happens for everything I say to it, “turn on lights”, “what’s the weather”, “hello”

I have a nest pro wifi 3 pack, so I rebooted my network; no resolution.

I unplugged all nest hubs, a few minutes later, plugged one in; no resolution.

Using the iOS Google Home App, I can run activities, but my hubs are currently worthless.

Now what?

Hi @WWYD,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I'm happy to help troubleshoot your Google Assistant concerns. Help's here!

To gather more information, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • Can you describe the color of the LED status light on the back of your device?
  • Where is the device placed?
  • How far away is the display from the router?

I also suggest checking out the following:

  • Ensure that the two microphones on top of the device are not covered.
  • Make sure the device is plugged in and receiving power using the provided cord.
  • Try unplugging the power cord for a few seconds and then plugging it back in. You can find more information in this article: Reboot Google Nest or Home speaker or display.
  • Also, make sure the Voice match is set up properly. You can find more information here: Access Google Assistant with your voice.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
