Attempting to connect to Wifi

Trekker182

The last month or so, my Google Home will randomly disconnect from my WiFi.  I will have to reboot it to get it back, but this is very inconvenient.  Any ideas?

My Eero router is 6 feet from the Google Home & it’s worked with no issues for over a year.  I’m thinking either a Google update or the WiFi chip is bad.  I’m having no other WiFi issues with any of my 20+ devices on WiFi.

The firmware version is 264660.

Thanks.

Hi Trekker182,

Thanks for your post. I am sorry to hear that your device is randomly disconnecting from your WiFi. That is a very frustrating issue and I understand your concern. Let's get this issue resolved, I would be more than happy to help!

First, I have a quick question. This is just a troubleshooting step we ask all to do.

  • Did you do a Factory Data Reset on your device? If not, could you please try that right now?
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings.
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
  • Are there any improvements after attempting that troubleshooting step?

I look forward to your response! Thanks for your patience.

No I just rebooted it.

I'll try resetting it and let you know if that fixes it.

Thanks.
