There are whole message boards of angry Echo users upset that Alexa announces in the middle of the night that it is "now connected to , . ." or "now disconnected to . . ." and that there is no way to turn it off. On one or those boards someone wrote that Google Home Speaker doesn't do this, so I went out and bought some. Well, Google doesn't use words, but it still makes a loud beep when disconnecting from Bluetooth. Is there a way to turn that off? If not, why not? It is awful being woken up when someone else in the house turns off a computer. Awful product design.

Anytime a bluetooth devices disconnects then yes it will make a noise, saying this, why are you linking devices via bluetooth if its not needed? I would suggest Casting any music that you want to play (For example from your phone, just cast to the speaker, do not use bluetooth), you will have a much better experience.

Hi All,
First, thank you Ashepherdson for answering the question. I appreciate your help.
Hello Jennyyougotmy, just checking in. Unfortunately, many devices make noises when they connect/disconnect from Bluetooth. This includes cars, speakers, headphones, and more that use that Bluetooth feature. I just wanted to see, do you have any other questions or concerns? We're here to help! Thanks.
