Bluetooth speakers not connecting to Nest

Evening. I have a Google Nest 2nd Generation. I have set it up on the same Wifi network as my Android phone, on which the Google Home app is on. I have checked and have the latest version of Google Home. I have a pair of Bluetooth speakers that I want to install outside. The Bluetooth on the speakers does work and I can stream music on them via my phone. The speakers are therefore connected via Bluetooth to my phone. However, when I go into the Nest on my phone, select Audio and then Paired Bluetooth speakers, it states that ¨there are no Bluetooth devices paired to Kitchen display [name of the Nest].¨ At the bottom of the screen, there is a button that states ¨Enable Pairing Mode.¨ I click that and then it states ¨Pairing mode active. Go to Bluetooth setting on your p...¨ [I believe it means phone but no more text is visible."Obviously, the Bluetooth setting on my phone works as I have streamed music to the speakers directly. I have factory reset the Nest, uninstalled and installed again the Home app and disconnected and connected again the speakers. Nothing works. I have tried connecting the Nest to another Bluetooth speaker but the same issue occurs. I have also connected my phone and Nest to the alternative Wifi sitting, but the same thing happens. Help me OB1, you are my only hope.

Hi @iangoesaway take a look here. I don't use the feature so can't provide much guidance. The only thing I would guess is there's an incompatible codec for the outdoor speaker to make that connection properly as that's what determines how the audio is transmitted wirelessly. There's also a distance issue as Bluetooth connectivity is rather unstable at longer distances. What has the speaker manufacturer told you? It's their device so they should be able to tell you why it's not working or why it should work. Your Nest devices are working, it's your third party device that isn't.
