The first Nest Audio is almost two years old now. New one just arrived a few days ago. They're on the same wifi network and the Google Home app (Android 12 version on a Pixel 5) says that they have paired up for stereo. Assistant listens and answers in the left channel, as expected, but I can't get any music to play from them.
I have tried unpairing and repairing, removing the new one from the network and adding it back, and nothing seems to help.

I should point out that voice commands to play music work -- Assistant tells me that it's going to play music -- but then no sound comes out. If I attempt to cast to the pair (from Spotify on my phone), the left speaker tells me that there was a problem and that I should try again.
Left speaker (the older one): (cast) firmware: 1.54.277099
Right speaker (newest): casr firmware: 1.54.279716

And after playing with it again a few more times -- unpairing again, plugging the old speaker and playing some music for a while on the new one, then re-pairing -- it's now working. I have no idea what the difference was, which is almost as frustrating.
