I'm a pretty experienced user of Google Nest (and older devices).
About four weeks ago, none of my Google Nest Audio speakers would work. Also, Nest mini / Nest diplay wouldn't work. (Note that my two Nest Indoor Cameras worked fine.) I spent hours and hours on this. Factory resets, reboots etc. I must have tried about 30 times.
Because all of the aforementioned devices were successfully connnected for many years, I thought it must be a network / wifi setting issue. I spend one hour on IT support with my internet provider. Tried everything ... didn't work.
Today, I had a call with Google Nest support.
What did I learn?
The root of my problem is a current IT bug between Pixel 6s and Google Nest devices.
WTH?
The fix? I needed to use another type of phone (Apple or Samsugn) log into my Google Nest account from this other phone.
So let me state this again. The problem in connecting to my Google Nest devices was MY GOOGLE PHONE.
Four weeks of frustrations, hours lost to this.
So frustrating.
