Bug with timer voice command

After adding a Broadlink Infta red remote control device and linking it to a UK set top box called "sky Q" trying to set a timer without a name attempts to start the sky q device.

Exact same issue, with same kit also reported on reddit by another user.

Hi, MartinS.

Sorry for the issues you're having with the Assistant features with voice commands. That looks like both a confusing and frustrating situation. Let's see how we can sort this out so you can get things back to normal there.

I do have a few questions that might help us figure it out.

  • Do you have any routines set up in your Home app?
  • Have you set up any default providers for media?
  • Did you link your remote to the Home app or Assistant in any way?

If you can give me a little more detail about the setup you went through with the remote and Assistant settings, it would help me narrow down what is happening. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks.

Hey, MartinS.

I’m just checking in real quick to see if we needed anything else, if you saw our reply, or if we were able to resolve the problem. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do here.

Thanks

Hi, everyone.

As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.

Thanks
