Calm meditation app not casting correctly

Hey there,

I'm encountering this issue with the Calm app integration on my Nest Hub 2 gen.

When I use the app on my Android phone and I press the cast button on the top left, only the guided meditation voice is casted, without the scene sound (rain, river, ocean waves, fireplace etc).

Instead the scene sound keeps playing on my phone speaker while the voice of the instructor comes through the Nest Hub.

A similar thing happens when using the Calm app meditations straight from the Nest Hub. Only voice with no scene sounds.

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh. 

If you're still having trouble casting the Calm app to your Nest Hub 2 , please give these steps a try: 

 

  1. Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router.
  2. Toggle the Wi-Fi off and on from the set up device
  3. Make sure your devices are connected to the same network.
  4. Reboot your router, phone and Nest Hub. 
  5. Reset your Nest Hub.
