If I want to hear the content of a new text message for instance, on Hey Google - my Nest tells me that it can't prvide that service. Meantime, my phone - which can, says oh well, Google nest is responding so I don't need to.
So, I need for instance a code word such as 'Hey Google - Quiet' which stops my Nest from responding to my next query which might be "Read new message'. So that my phone can read me out the new message.
If there isn't such a feature - perhaps there should be ??
Cheers

Hello, lyndeelu
Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community. We understand that you're encountering an issue where your Nest device sometimes responds to requests that your phone is already handling, such as reading text messages. Don't worry, I'm here to help.
Here are a few things you can try:
Adjust Assistant Sensitivity:
Use "Do Not Disturb":
Provide Feedback:
Please consider sharing your thoughts directly with our development team through this feedback form. Your input will help us prioritize features and ensure that we're meeting the needs of our diverse user base.
We understand your desire for a more direct solution like a "Hey Google, quiet" command. We'll consider your feedback for future updates.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello Kevin, thanks for your response. Unfortunately, you suggestions don't achieve the desired result:
1. In the lounge, get audible notification of a new text message from my phone which is across the other side of the room. If I were driving, I could ask Google assistant to 'Read new message' and my phone would read the new message to me. But, in the lounge, the same request results in the Nest telling me that it can't help - and the phone ignores my request because the Nest is responding. Reducing the sensitivity of the Nest would simply make it more difficult for other requests to be properly 'heard'.
2. Setting all Google assistants to 'do no disturb' would result in NO devices responding including my phone.
3. I'll go ahead and complete the feedback form anyway. I'm sure I can't be the only person with this or a similar issue.
Thanks anyway.
