I have a dual band wifi with two access points. I can only able to see the 2.4 one in the list.

Hey, BS1 and SteveZrh.

Sorry for the connection issues you're seeing. That sounds confusing and frustrating. Let's get this fixed for you both.

Can you both confirm that you're attempting to connect to your main network and not the guest network? The Google and Nest WiFi networks run both 5GHz and 2.4GHz concurrently, and they are not split into two networks. There is a situation, however, where if you have set up a guest network that might be limited to only 2.4GHz. Take a quick look and let me know if that's the case.

Thanks.

I have two APs 5GHz and 2.4GHz each. They are not guess network. When I connect to the 5GHz it loads and says not able to connect. Very sad now!

Hey, BS1.

Is it all devices that won't connect to the network, or are there some specific devices that are failing to connect?

Only the nest hub gen2 can't while all my other devices like iPhone, chromecast can....

Hi, BS1.

If the only device not connecting is the Hub, let's focus our efforts on that for now as the network itself is working and other devices are connecting. Have you tried factory resetting your Hub device and setting it up again? If that failed, where in the process does the setup fail?

Tried reset for many times, it doesn't work. When I choose the AP and enter the password, it just said can't connect to the wifi.

Hey, SteveZrh.

If your Chromecast is the only device not connecting, it might be worth posting the issue in the Chromecast forum. But before you go, I want to be sure, it's only the Chromecast that won't connect?

The strange problem over here: I can see neighbours 5GHZ hotspot on my Chromecast Ultra. But not mine...

But can connect my laptop and any other device to my 5GHZ

Hi, SteveZrh.

I'm wondering if interference might be partially to blame here. Do you have any other devices near your Chromecast or WiFi point that could be interrupted the singal? Is it a long distance from the point to the Chromecast? If you can see your neighbors setup, that's definitely strange. Let me know if you have any concerns with placement or interference.

Thanks.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
