Can’t play music I select from phone, using either Apple Music or different music app.

I’m not able to play music from my phone, using any music app (Apple Music, Nugs, etc) through any google speakers when casting, but speakers will play music from linked music platform when prompted.

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.

 

A few questions: was it working before? Can you see the cast icon on your music app? Make sure your devices are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router.

 

Try rebooting your devices and router to refresh the connection.

Reinstall your Google Home and music app.

Try using a different phone to see if you'll get the same response.
