Can voice commands work with google home mini on the newest chromecast with google tv?

I’ve been using the google home mini with chromecast for a few years to use voice commands to play shows, skip songs etc. I’ve just upgraded to chromecast with google tv and now my google home mini does not work- I get the message back ‘

Sorry, I can't play Netflix on Android TV yet.

Try using your Android TV remote instead.’

i know I can use the google tv remote but is it possible to use ‘hey google’ with the google home mini still? All my research is just showing the older gen of chromecast, I can’t find any info on this.

Your new Chromecast with Google TV must be linked to your Google Home Mini before you can control it via voice. To narrow things down, Do you have the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) or the Chromecast with Google TV (HD). How did you set up your new device? Are both on the same Wi-Fi network?

In the meantime, follow the steps below.

1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast, or speaker or display.
2. Open the Google Home app .
3. On the home screen, touch and hold your device's tile.
4. At the top right, tap Settings  and then Recognition & sharing.
5. Look for a banner at the top of the page that says “Enable voice control and more.”

• If the banner appears, tap it and follow the steps to link your TV.
• If the banner doesn't appear but your email address appears under “Linked account(s),” your TV is already linked.
