Cast audio not working in speaker group

For the last 3 years I’ve been able to cast audio to all my speakers from the group they are in….. for some reason the cast option is no longer in the speaker group and is only available for individual speakers…. Did something change?

We don't use that feature, but this posting from Google on a lawsuit they lost might address your issue:

I can Cast audio to individual speakers. I can cast audio to pairs but Group cast audio is gone. The lawsuit link provided doesnt speak to this specifically. 

The whole reason I upgraded to a google home system was for this feature. If it removed please confirm so i can sell these speakers and buy another system.
