Changing names on Google Nest hub doesn't work

I want to update the name for my Google Nest hub second edition, but changing names in the Google home app only updates the name for that particular information page. The name change doesn't reflect in any other place.

How do I succeed in updating the name?

I should add that on the device information page the new name is displayed, but when I tap "name" to change it the original name is always prefilled.

Do a reset on the hub by holding the up and down volume buttons on the side of the gen 2.

Found some info about it. 👇

Part of a workaround, that is acceptable.
Full workaround:

1. Create a new room named like the name you want your device to have.
2. Reset your device, by following Nixxi's instructions.
3. Add your new device to the room created in step 1. It will now be named after that room.
4. Move your device from the temporary room to your desired room.
Repeat every darn time you wish to rename your device.
Still a bug, but there's a way to work around google's laziness.
