Childs name shows on Nest reminder instead of mine.

I'm having a weird issue. When I tell my Nest hub to set a reminder, that reminder shows up with my child's name on it instead of mine. I manage my children's account under Google family. On the home app settings on my phone (android) it shows me as the only linked account to this device (Nest). Why would it be displaying my "managed" childs account name and not mine?

Hi @Smiths101!

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're experiencing an issue where reminders set via your Google Nest Hub are incorrectly showing up under your child's name, even though your account appears correctly linked in the Google Home app. I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • If you ask it directly, 'Hey Google, who am I?', does it correctly identify your name?
  • What model of Google Nest Hub do you have? Here is an article that will help you identify it: Google Nest speakers and displays.
  • Is the Google Home app up to date?
  • Is the Voice Match feature turned on? To verify this, you can follow these steps:

1. Open the Google Home app.
2. Tap Settings, and then Google Assistant.
3. Tap Voice Match. The app will show you all devices that support Voice Match.
4. Tap a device to enable or disable Voice Match.

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,
Geremi
