Chrome cast

I used chrome cast through my Xbox one, I recently decided to remove my Xbox one from my TV becasue I no longer use it so the chrome cast is connected right to the TV and I also switched to using the cast volume which let's me keep my vizo sound bar and LG TV volume set. Since that change I noticed after pressing play or a new scene in a show or movie. The  Volume gradually builds up sometimes missing out on audio like light dialog. I tried looking at settings but it all seems normal. Hoping someone has an easy fix for this

Hi Alex2992xelA,

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.

Quick question: What type of Chromecast device do you have? If you have a Chromecast with Google TV, could you please try to remove and re add your TV or Vizio sound bar and try to test? Rebooting your Chromecast might also help.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Thank you for that reminder message, these were in spam and I haopen to see it!!

I have Chromecast with Google TV. I have tried removing the TV, sound bar, and remote, then re-adding them but nothing change. I'm going to try rebooting it in a few hours and hopefully that's the fix

Hey there,

Sounds like a plan! Also, if rebooting doesn't work, please reset your Chromecast with Google TV.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Are you referring to a factory reset? That would be the last step I have to try. Doing that will, i lose any data or will I just have to re-download my apps?

Hi Alex2992xelA,

Sorry for the late response. Factory Resetting the Chromecast will restore your device to default settings and erase all data and downloaded apps in your Chromecast.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hey there,

It's me again. Do you still need help with this?

Thanks,

Jennifer

I hope not. I haven't had the time to factory reset but saying that's the only option left, it should work

Hi there,

I don't want to be a nudge but I'd like to check if you still need help. Feel free to let me know if you do.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Yes, restarting it worked. I tried responding Sunday when it worked but it wouldn't let me oddly.

Everything now works but it is set up a tad different when it comes to volume. I now control volume on just the sound bar and not through Google tv. I did prefer the Google tv volume so I didn't have to touch the TV or sound bar but I couldn't find it in settings anymore. I'd like to switch back to the Google TV volume and see if it still works properly.

Hey Alex2992xelA,

Thanks for keeping me in the loop. You may check this support website article to set up the volume button on your Chromecast Voice Remote to allow you to control the volume of your TV.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Yes, oddly using Chromecast volume creates the whole issue. I'll just have to go back to using the sound bar volume

Hi there,

Understood. You can always use your Voice Remote to control the volume of your soundbar instead of using the volume on your Chromecast.

In the meantime, do you still have other questions and concerns?

Regards,

Jennifer
